Often times in life we come across people who's behavior forces us to label them fickle, wishy-washy, funny acting, and or fake friends. Typically we try to grasp the reasoning behind their back and forth behavior, looking for ways to try to turn the shaky friendship into a steady one and ignore that this may just be God's plan for them in our life. While these people may make us uncomfortable they always come with an assignment whether it's to get us from Point A to Point B, teach us something about ourselves, teach us something about others around us, or through all the hell and aggravation push us closer to God through prayer and worship they do in fact have an assignment.
Matthew 26:20-24 MSG says:
“After sunset, he and the Twelve were sitting around the table. During the meal, he said, “I have something hard but important to say to you: One of you is going to hand me over to the conspirators.” They were stunned, and then began to ask, one after another, “It isn’t me, is it, Master?” Jesus answered, “The one who hands me over is someone I eat with daily, one who passes me food at the table. In one sense the Son of Man is entering into a way of treachery well-marked by the Scriptures—no surprises here. In another sense that man who turns him in, turns traitor to the Son of Man—better never to have been born than do this!””
Just as Judas was designed to betray Jesus some of the people that you encounter in this life were designed to betray you. The good news about this is just like Jesus' you'll come out victorious and rise above it. So, don't lose sleep or question why things have to be the way they are and remember that when you encounter a Judas you become a step closer to the fulfillment of the prophecy which God has placed on your life. Not everybody is designed to eat with you and be merry so stop wasting your abundance by attempting to share it with them and let them do their job. Ultimately, they're working for your good. They're an Uber Friend.
