Embrace Your Season of Singleness

It's come to my attention that a lot of people are afraid to embrace their season of singleness. It almost seems as if we won't allow God to give or show us our true identity. Instead, we try to get it from the people we love or are interested in. Many of us find comfort being in a relationship no matter how blessed or cursed it is. Somehow, for our generation, a relationship is just a relationship and that's not the case. We're supposed to build a bond with the one that God sends us, but if we don't bond with God how can he even prepare us with the proper identification to be bonded with someone else? It's timeout for going backward or forcing ourselves to move forward. In this season God wants our generation to fall back in love with him and put his love on a pedestal. There's no hurt, guilt, pain, or shame in being single it's actually a blessing because all you have to do is focus on your relationship with God and allow him to reveal to you your true self. Try it and watch how your life changes. Watch how God begins to shift you and your vision. And I'm not saying you shouldn't keep people around, just keep them around as your friend. But, if they can't honor that request to only be friends until God tells you you're ready for more then you know God didn't send them. Trust me on this one, a season of singleness comes with a bundle of blessings.
